Zyxel Networks, a leader in secure and AI-powered cloud networking solutions, has announced the release of six new WiFi 7 access points (APs) designed specifically for small businesses. While WiFi 7-enabled devices are already widely available, many small organizations still face upgrade barriers due to cost and complexity. The new models, covering indoor, outdoor, and desktop scenarios, offer every small business an accessible and affordable cloud-managed WiFi 7 upgrade.
Not all WiFi 7 APs are the same
All new models offer significant new features and benefits not found in most WiFi 7 APs.
For security-conscious businesses, support for SSID VLAN tagging allows users to assign different WiFi names to staff, guests, or smart devices, separating network traffic for easier management and enhanced privacy without requiring complex IT expertise.
These APs also include two exclusive, industry-first innovations designed to improve performance where it matters most: Smart Mesh multi-drop operation (MLO) and RF-first design.
Smart Mesh MLO uses a combination of mesh networking and MLO to create a dual-radio mesh backhaul that increases WiFi throughput by up to 40%. This breakthrough reduces latency, enabling smoother connectivity in dense or large environments.
The RF-first design approach makes these APs particularly well-suited for use in dense and congested areas. Interference from adjacent WiFi, mobile, and even Bluetooth networks can often impact WiFi performance. The new APs are designed with antenna isolation technology and optimized layouts to minimize interference. The result is a cleaner, stronger signal, essential for high-density or interference-prone locations.
All six models are powered by quad-core Qualcomm chipsets and come with NebulaFlex, allowing users to flexibly switch between on-premises and Nebula Cloud management. With zero-touch provisioning and app-based onboarding, setup is as simple as scanning a QR code, making it an ideal solution for businesses without dedicated IT teams.
Each model is designed with specific use cases in mind, including:
Outdoor deployments requiring robust protection, such as patios or gardens: The NWA55BE offers IP55 outdoor durability.
High-traffic areas, such as crowded offices, meeting rooms, or crowded venues where bottlenecks are a major concern: The NWA90BE PRO and NWA50BE PRO dual-radio APs feature BandFlex tri-band support, giving users the option to choose between 5GHz and 6GHz bands to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow.
Businesses offering guest WiFi access, such as cafes, hotels, clinics, or stores: Models like the NWA90BE PRO, NWA90BE, and NWA55BE include robust security features like RADIUS Authentication and Captive Portal, making them perfect for securely managing guest connections and branding the login experience.
Small or home offices looking for seamless WiFi: The NWA50BE and NWA30BE offer reliable dual-radio WiFi 7 connectivity with flexible options for ceiling or desktop placement to suit a variety of installations.
Space-constrained environments such as retail counters, pop-up shops, or temporary office setups: The NWA30BE offers a compact design with high-throughput antennas optimized for horizontal and desktop placement, delivering robust WiFi performance without the need for extensive cabling or ceiling installation.
“With this launch, Zyxel Networks now offers 13 WiFi 7 APs, the most comprehensive portfolio in the industry,” said Kell Lin, Senior Vice President of the Network Strategic Business Unit at Zyxel Networks. “There are options for every organization and use case, from the smallest business or home user who needs simple, efficient, and secure WiFi, to more demanding, high-density environments where reliable and consistent connectivity, manageability, and protection are essential for all users. With the excellent performance, built-in security, and unique features offered by these new APs, Zyxel Networks is unlocking the benefits of WiFi 7 technology and making it accessible to even more small businesses.”
Zyxel Networks’ WiFi 7 AP portfolio is among the first in the industry to comply with EN 18031 security standards, meeting the cybersecurity requirements outlined in the EU’s Radio Equipment Directive.
