Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI is preparing to make a giant investment of $6 billion for the construction of a new data center. Accordingly, the company is seeking financing to build the Memphis Data Center based on NVIDIA GPUs. The bulk of the investment will be backed by a $5 billion fund from the Middle East, while the remaining $1 billion will be provided by different investors. So what is Elon Musk’s real goal?
6 billion dollars will be invested for Elon Musk’s xAI goal
In fact, the goal is to provide support for Tesla’s fully autonomous driving (FSD) projects and realize Musk’s far-reaching vision of artificial intelligence. xAI has made great strides since launching in 2023. In just 122 days, the company managed to build the world’s largest AI cluster, Colossus.
This cluster is equipped with powerful NVIDIA GPUs and has an infrastructure specifically designed for AI applications. The new goal is to double the number of available GPUs to 100,000 units. 50,000 of these devices will be equipped with H200 GPUs, NVIDIA’s latest technology.
According to xAI’s official website, the company is working to add to Musk’s impressive list of projects. The company’s core mission is defined as “understanding the true nature of the universe”. Accordingly, the vision of transforming artificial intelligence for the benefit of humanity is integrated with both Tesla’s autonomous driving technologies and other advanced technology applications.
After such huge investments, there is only one question on people’s minds: “Where will this end up?” What do you think? You can write your opinions in the comments section below.
