iPad Air (2024) powered by the new M2 chip
After the 5th generation Air introduced on March 18, 2022, the 6th generation iPad Air has managed to impress users with its features. One of the significant changes in the iPad Air is in the processor department. According to the announcements made at the event, the sixth-generation iPad Air (2024) is powered by the M2 chip. Additionally, storage options, which previously started at 64 GB in previous models, have changed with the iPad Air, ranging from 128 GB to 1 TB. Instead of the insufficient 64GB, you can now opt for the 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB models.
With 35% higher graphics performance and 18% faster core performance compared to the M1 processor, the processor also offers 40% faster Neutral Engine performance for tasks using AI-focused applications like Siri. Offering 50% higher performance compared to the 5th generation iPad Air, the new device has been introduced as a complete performance beast.

Compatible with the new Apple Pencil Pro, the 11-inch iPad Air features a notable feature of previewing before drawing. Retaining its lightweight design, the Air model, which comes with similar design as previous generations and does not offer much change in design, features a rounded camera design in the top left corner of the back, as in previous ones. Nevertheless, Apple has made a minor design change by placing the flash inside a new oval camera housing.
Continuing its lightweight design, the Air model, available in existing color options including Space Gray, Blue, Purple, and Starlight, has been released. Unfortunately, the 6th generation 11-inch iPad Air, will continue with an LCD screen as Apple’s inventory does not have mini-LED screen panels in these sizes. With its 11-inch 1640 x 2360 pixel resolution screen and 60Hz refresh rate, the new Air provides users with sufficient display performance.
