HMD Global continues to revitalize old Nokia models. In this context, Nokia launched three iconic phones, the Nokia 6310, 5310 and 230, by modernizing them in accordance with today’s conditions. So what do the new push-button phones promise?
Nokia 6310, Nokia 5310 and Nokia 230 introduced
Let’s start with the Nokia 6310 (2024). Re-introduced in 2021, it retains the basic design of the model. However, the new version features a larger 1450mAh battery and a USB-C port. It also has a VGA rear camera, 2.8-inch display, dual SIM support and a microSD card slot.
The Nokia 5310 (2024) features a design close to the version introduced in 2020. Similarly, it promises longer battery life with its 1450mAh battery. It is also powered by the newer Unisoc 6531F chipset and has a 2.8-inch LCD display.
Nokia 230 (2024) has the same design as the compact model introduced in 2015. Retaining the 2.8-inch screen, the new version has a 1450mAh battery and USB-C port. It has a 2 Megapixel rear and front camera, while features such as the 3.5mm headphone jack remain unchanged.
All three models only support 2G network. So it will not be possible to use newer technologies such as 3G or 4G. However, HMD will bring back classic designs with long battery life, offering an alternative for those looking for a push-button phone.
The prices of the retro feature phones have not been announced for now. We also do not know in which markets they will be available. But it seems likely to be offered in Europe.
