200 MP Camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset: Xiaomi 15 Ultra Features and Launch Date!
The Xiaomi 15 series will include three flagship models: Xiaomi 15, 15 Pro, and 15 Ultra. All three models are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. While the Standard and Pro models are set to be unveiled at the end of this month, the Ultra model is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2025.
Initially, rumors about the 15 series suggested that the Standard and Pro models would focus on photography. However, recent information indicates that the Ultra model will offer an even better photography experience compared to the others.
Xiaomi will replace the POCO website and app. Accordingly, all pages of the POCO brand will be closed.
A new leak on Weibo has provided more details about the camera. It is claimed that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will feature a Samsung ISOCELL HP9 200 MP periscope telephoto camera, the same one used earlier this year in the Vivo X100 Ultra in China.
Additionally, the leak reveals that this 200 MP periscope camera will offer a 100 mm focal length, an f/2.6 aperture, and 4.3x optical zoom. No other details about additional features have been provided so far.
Another report suggests that the 15 Ultra will come with a 50 MP LYT-900 primary camera with OIS support, a 50 MP Sony IMX858 ultra-wide lens, and a 50 MP Sony IMX858 telephoto lens.
