The countdown for Xiaomi’s new flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 14 series, has officially begun. The models are expected to be unveiled on October 26, and thanks to recent leaks, there are no longer any questions about what kind of user experience they will offer. The Chinese manufacturer confirmed the designs of the smartphones with promotional posters shared a short while ago.
Xiaomi 14’s design has been officially announced
Xiaomi revealed the designs of the upcoming flagship models with its latest posts. Accordingly, the smartphones will come with a quad-camera setup (three cameras and one LED flash). On the front, the familiar hole-punch display design from previous models is present. It’s worth noting that the display is flat. In short, it can be said that most of the previous leaks have turned out to be accurate.
Looking at past leaks, it’s likely that the smartphone will come with a 6.7-inch Micro Quad Curved C8 panel that supports dynamic 1-120 Hz LTPO refresh rates and offers a 2K resolution. The device, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, will offer up to 3000 nits of peak brightness and features like HDR 10+.
The smartphone is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor with an aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0. It’s worth noting that the variable aperture feature that is expected to be used in the device is currently only found in the company’s 13 Ultra model.
The primary camera on the phone is expected to be a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor with OIS support. Additionally, there will be two 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and telemacro sensors.
The Xiaomi 14 Pro is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, up to 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and a 4,860 mAh battery that can charge at 120W speeds.
