The 3D printed gaming mouse mod from German-based company PMM is making waves and shedding grams. Designed for the Endgame Gear OP1 8K, this new mod kit trims the already ultralight mouse down by nearly 39%, bringing it into featherweight territory without sacrificing shape or performance.
3D printed gaming mouse mod redefines “lightweight”

The stock Endgame Gear OP1 8K already weighs just 49.5 g, but PMM’s new Pulse mod kit cuts that down by up to 19.5 g. The printed shells are crafted from PA12 nylon and come in three designs that let players prioritize weight, feel, or surface coverage.
Here are the three Pulse variants:
- Full of holes: 30 g
- Solid sides (top holes only): 30.9 g
- Solid all around (no holes on contact surfaces): 31.8 g
Each shell includes a solid base to ensure compatibility with the original skates. That means players can upgrade without losing their preferred glide.
PMM adds more than just weight savings
The 3D printed gaming mouse mod isn’t just about grams; it brings real utility. PMM includes:
- Two surface options: a glossy standard finish or an UltraGrip 2.0 ceramic coating for added control
- A new click tensioning system (details are sparse), which allows users to adjust pre-travel and click force with a simple screw turn
- A shape precisely modeled from a 3D scan of the original OP1 shell
And yes, there’s a wireless version in the works for OP1w models, though no firm specs or weight estimates have been revealed yet. PMM hints it could land around 39 g when built.
3D-printed mod kit lands this October, starting at €70
PMM plans to launch the Pulse mod kit in October, priced from €70. Buyers will have the option to order it as a standalone mod or as a pre-built mouse. The full mouse kit will cost more, factoring in both hardware and assembly.
According to the announcement post, setup takes around 30 minutes using the included tools, making it a quick, practical upgrade for enthusiasts.
The lightweight market is heating up
Even with its aggressive weight cut, the OP1 8K mod won’t go unchallenged. Corsair recently released a production wireless mouse that weighs just 36 g, putting pressure on boutique modders like PMM to keep innovating.
But for now, PMM’s Pulse offers a sharp, customizable path to one of the lightest and most personal gaming mice you can build.
