Apple is set to unveil its new flagship series next week: the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro. If you’re deciding which model to choose, you might want to know that the iPhone 16 Pro has some key advantages over the iPhone 16. Here are four essential features that might make you prefer the iPhone 16 Pro.
Bigger Screen
The iPhone 16 Pro stands out this year with an increase in screen size. The iPhone 16 Pro’s screen will grow from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches. In contrast, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will retain their current 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes. Additionally, the ProMotion technology with a 120Hz refresh rate will be exclusive to the Pro models.
Sleek and Durable: Titanium Design
With the iPhone 15 Pro, Apple introduced a new titanium design instead of stainless steel. However, this titanium design will be exclusive to the Pro models in the iPhone 16 series and is unlikely to be used in the standard models.
Notable Camera Differences
Traditionally, the iPhone 16 will have two rear cameras (Main and Ultra Wide), while the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a triple camera system (Main, Ultra Wide, and Telephoto). This year, the 5x Telephoto camera introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro Max will also be included in the iPhone 16 Pro. This means you won’t need to choose the largest model to get the best camera system, but you’ll still need to opt for at least the Pro models.
Potential High Performance
Both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro will be equipped with the A18 chip. However, the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a more powerful version, the A18 Pro chip. The A18 Pro is expected to include a 6-core GPU and an improved Neural Engine, which, while the AI capabilities might seem similar now, could offer a significant advantage for future Apple Intelligence features.
