Samsung unveiled the 43-inch Odyssey Neo G7 gaming monitor last month, but it was launched in South Korea and Taiwan. Samsung has now announced the global launch of its new gaming monitor. The new monitor has some notable features, one of which is its size.
Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 specifications
The Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 gaming monitor (Model name: G70NC) stands out as a large 43-inch option. In this respect, it is also suitable for console gamers and looks technically ambitious. The panel offers a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels on a flat 43-inch Mini-LED panel with high contrast. The panel is VESA Display HDR600 and HDR10+ certified, with Mini-LED backlight sources providing good local dimming and continuous high brightness up to 600 nits. It also features a 144 Hz refresh rate, enabling an ideal balance of smoothness and performance at 4K resolution.
The monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. It also has two HDMI 2.1 ports, as well as DisplayPort 1.4 and USB ports on its rear. Unlike many of its competitors, this monitor also supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2. This is because the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 gaming monitor can also be used as a smart TV. Inside the Odyssey Neo G7 gaming monitor, there is the TizenOS operating system, just like Samsung’s TVs. Thanks to this, the product can be used independently from PCs or consoles.
The Samsung Smart Hub and Samsung Gaming Hub can be used with cloud gaming services such as Amazon Luna, Microsoft Xbox Cloud and Nvidia GeForce Now. Services such as Prime Video, Netflix and YouTube are also available. Neo G7, which will be available in many markets before the end of the first quarter, is not yet known at how many dollars it will be sold. However, the price is definitely not expected to be low.
