Google is still trying to develop its popular video streaming platform, YouTube, even though it is the most popular platform. Today, the company announced five new features for YouTube Premium subscribers. According to the release notes, the platform brings five new additions, including enhanced 1080p resolution on iOS, queuing on phones and tablets, and more to Premium subscribers. Here are the details…
Queuing on your Phone and Tablet feature for YouTube Premium subscribers
As we know, YouTube has the queuing feature on the Web application for a long time for everyone. Now, the popular streaming platform has bringing this feature only for YouTube Premium subscribers on iOS and Android phones and tablets. Thanks to the new queuing feature, you can now decide exactly what video you want to play next.
Watch YouTube together on Android and iOS
With the latest update, the platform now allows Premium subscribers to share the moment with other people. Through Meet Live Sharing on Android devices, or for FaceTime users on iOS via SharePlay, you can experience the joy of YouTube together. While Premium members can host the sessions, all users, whether they are Premium or free users, can join the sessions.
Continue watching YouTube videos between devices
If you started watching a video, and want to keep watching it wherever you are, it becomes difficult to switch between the devices. The video streaming service now brings a new feature for YouTube Premium users. With the new feature, you can now continue watching videos wherever you previously left off even as you switch between Android, iOS, and Web devices without a single interruption.
Keep watching when you’re offline
On YouTube, it wasn’t possible to keep watching a video if you’re offline. Now, you can keep your YouTube experience going non-stop when you’re offline. With Smart Downloads, the platform will automatically add recommended videos straight to your library, ready for offline viewing.
Enhance your video quality on iOS
The final feature that comes with the latest update is to enhance your video quality on iOS. The platform announced that it will be launching an enhanced bitrate version of 1080p HD video quality starting on iOS (and an experiment coming to the Web soon too.) Thanks to this feature, you will get an even deeper visual quality for videos.
