With less than a month remaining until the highly anticipated launch of the iPhone 16 series, Apple is preparing with great excitement. The company expects a significant increase in sales this year. To avoid production issues, Apple’s manufacturer Foxconn has increased its workforce. Here are the details…
iPhone 16 Sales Expected to Rise by 10% Compared to iPhone 15
Recent reports indicate that production for the iPhone 16 series has begun, with screens being manufactured by Samsung and LG. New leaks have confirmed these claims. According to reports, Foxconn has hired 50,000 new workers at its Zhengzhou factory.
The Zhengzhou facility is Foxconn’s largest factory and is also known as its main iPhone production site. Foxconn is reportedly hiring workers at a rate of 25 yuan (approximately $3.52) per hour and has added 50,000 new employees to its workforce.
The reason for this massive hiring is the expectation of a 10% increase in iPhone 16 series production compared to the previous year. Apple anticipates selling 90 million iPhone 16 units in the second half of 2024.
The expected increase in sales is attributed to the new AI features in the iPhone 16 series, which were previously available only in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models due to the 8GB RAM requirement. These features will now be available across the entire iPhone 16 series.
The iPhone 16 Pro series is expected to feature a 48-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and be powered by the A18 Pro AP processor, while the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will use the 3nm A18 AP processor. What do you think about the iPhone 16 series? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
