Michelle Yeoh makes history at the 95th Oscars
The film, directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, is a science-fiction comedy about a woman who discovers she is connected to parallel universes. Michelle Yeoh, who plays a supporting role in the film, also made history as the first Asian woman to win the Best Actress award. Yeoh is also a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme.
Brendan Fraser won the award for Best Actor for his role in “The Whale,” a drama about a man who reconnects with his estranged daughter while dealing with his own health issues. Jamie Lee Curtis won Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” while Ke Huy Quan won Best Supporting Actor for the same film.
