Smartphone cameras are getting better, improved sensor size and resolution mean users can capture more detailed images in complex lighting conditions. However, manufacturers continue to pursue better image quality. Lastly, Xiaomi adds a new member to its Xiaomi 12 series in order to achieve this.
The device which is called the Xiaomi 12S Ultra will use the largest phone camera sensor. Company is working with Leica and Sony for this phone’s camera. We’ll see how ambitious it really is this week. Here are all the known specs…
The Xiaomi 12S Ultra has Sony’s largest camera sensor!
We often hear criticism about Xiaomi’s entry, mid-range and even some high-end phones. First, there are the sensor issues. Then comes the insufficiency of the front camera. This is largely related to resolution and FPS values.
Despite all this, let’s face the fact that Xiaomi has been pretty competitive on high-end devices for the past few years. Especially with the Mi 11 series, the quality has increased gradually. Therefore, the new 12S Ultra model will undoubtedly be a phone that everyone would like to have.
We think Xiaomi will reap the rewards of its partnership with Leica this year. Of course, Sony’s 1-inch IMX989 camera sensor also plays a big part here. But with all this, we know that there are some concerns about Xiaomi’s pricing policy.
Another factor affecting the price of this device will be the processor. Because Xiaomi’ll use the most expensive and most performing processor on the market. You know what we’re talking about. It’s the new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
If we look at other technical specifications, it is expected to be launched with 12 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of storage. The size of its battery will be 4800 mAh. In addition, a 67W fast charging adapter will be included in the box.
It will have a 6.7-inch display (AMOLED LTPO) that supports QHD + resolution and 120 Hz screen refresh rate. There will be a 20 Megapixel selfie camera on the front and a 50 Megapixel main camera on the back.
