Since Elon Musk has bought the popular social media platform, he changed a lot of things and keeps changing. With the latest update, Twitter will recommend only Verified Accounts on the platform’s For You page starting on April 15th. According to announcements, Musk is trying to make the platform more legal with a verified system. Additionally, the platform will get a few more changes about Verified Accounts. Verified Accounts will have more opportunities on Twitter

A few months ago, Musk released the Twitter Blue subscription system for a safety platform. With this system, users need to provide their personal information, including government ID, to get the Twitter Blue mark. Starting April 15th, the platform will offer more opportunities to Verified Accounts to stop AI bots from being active. Now, the CEO of Twitter, Musk, announced the accounts with Blue subscriptions will become the only accounts that can vote in polls.

Elon Musk says,” Starting April 15th, only verified accounts will be eligible to be in For You recommendations. The is the only realistic way to address advanced AI bot swarms taking over. It is otherwise a hopeless, losing battle. Voting in polls will require verification for the same reason.” He adds, “That said, it’s ok to have verified bot accounts if they follow terms of service & don’t impersonate a human.”

Additionally, the popular social media platform announced that accounts with Blue marks but not Twitter Blue subscriptions are going to lose their marks on April 1st. People are now accusing Musk of trying to make money from the platform.

Musk answered, “$7” to a user who says, “Just a reminder to everyone—Elon is a rightwing media mogul with massive conflicts of interests in various fields that require government oversight and regulation—who’s openly and not so openly—utilizing his giant personal social-media platform to serve his own political purposes.”
