We recently reported that Lenovo had shut down its department developing the Legion series of gaming phones, while Xiaomi had laid off dozens of people from its Black Shark team. However, things seem to be going well for Asus, as the design of the Asus ROG Phone 7 has been revealed.
Asus ROG Phone 7 design and specs
The design of the Asus ROG Phone 7 can be clearly seen in the images below. But before we get into its specifications, let’s evaluate it based on its AnTuTu score. The device has scored 1,346,106 points with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, with 293,872 points belonging to the CPU, 578,199 points to the graphics unit, 269,185 points to memory and storage, and 204,850 points to the screen.
With this test, some unknown features have also been revealed. Overall, as we mentioned, the device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, with cores including 1x 3.36 GHz ARM Cortex-X3, 2x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A710, 2x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A715, and 3x 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A510.
In addition, the device offers 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Of course, it may not be released as a single version. Furthermore, it has a 6.78-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, with an E4 AMOLED panel.
As for the camera, information is a bit more limited. The device has a 50-megapixel (likely Sony-made) main camera on the back and a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front. Additionally, its 6,000mAh battery supports 65W fast charging.
