With advancing technology, artificial intelligence has started to find its place in various aspects of our lives. The significant progress made in recent years indicates the rapid development of AI. Artificial intelligence is being used in almost every industry, and recently, it has made its way to web browsers. Microsoft Edge was the first example of this, and now, Al is on its way to Mozilla Firefox.
Al support is coming to Mozilla Firefox!
In recent years, Al support has been implemented in several browsers. Microsoft was the pioneering company in this regard, followed by Google and Opera. Seeing this trend, Mozilla took action to keep up.
According to TheInformation’s report, Mozilla is planning to integrate a chatbot into the Firefox browser. The company has two options in front of them: OpenAI’s ChatGPT or Google’s recently introduced Bard.
It is currently unknown which chatbot will be used. This will be determined after discussions between Mozilla and Google/OpenAI. Speculations lean towards Google, as the company makes significant annual payments to remain the default search engine in Firefox.
However, it is important to note that search engines and Al are different areas. Having an agreement in one area does not necessarily mean an agreement for Al. We will soon find out which company Mozilla will collaborate with in the coming days.
What can Al do in Mozilla Firefox?
Al can help users of Mozilla Firefox obtain more reliable search results. For example, in Microsoft Edge, when you ask a question to the chatbot, AI scans the internet for search results, compiles the information, and presents it to you. We may expect a similar feature in Mozilla Firefox.
