After being acquired by renowned entrepreneur Elon Musk, Twitter underwent significant changes. One of these changes was the introduction of the Blue subscription, which offers many advantages to users. Along with this, the character limit for tweets has also been increased for subscribers. This limit, which was raised to 10,000 characters a few weeks ago, has been increased again today.
Twitter raises tweet character limit to 25,000!
Among the advantages offered by Twitter Blue to users are the blue checkmark badge, the ability to upload videos up to 60 minutes in length (maximum 2 GB), appearing higher in comments on tweets, and most importantly, the ability to write longer tweets.
Today, a Twitter employee announced through their own account that the tweet length has been increased from 10,000 to 25,000 characters. They demonstrated this by quoting an endlessly long tweet that you can scroll down to see.
Twitter has not yet updated the list of advantages on the Blue purchase screen. It still states that the character limit is 4,000 on mobile and 10,000 on the web. It is expected that this page will be updated shortly.
In addition, it recently emerged that Twitter will impose a messaging limit for users who are not Blue subscribers. This decision, which has garnered some user backlash, seems to be aimed at gaining more subscribers.
