Twitter being kicked out of Colorado office for not paying rent
Twitter’s policies, which underwent a complete overhaul under the leadership of Elon Musk, are facing a new crisis. Twitter, including its main office in San Francisco, has been accused of not paying rent for its offices and has been evicted from its building in Colorado. The eviction order issued by a judge revealed that Twitter had not been paying office rent for months.
Twitter refuses to pay rent for offices
Some time ago, Twitter changed its Colorado office in order to avoid rent payment issues. However, it is alleged that the social media platform failed to fulfill its leasing obligations with the office landlord. Following a legal investigation, Twitter was given a 49-day eviction notice.
The Colorado office used to accommodate around 300 people before Elon Musk took over the company. However, the downsizing efforts at the company also affected this office. Last year, 87 employees were laid off, followed by an additional 38 employees.

The unpaid rents by Twitter are causing concern across various locations in the United States. It was previously claimed that Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk stated he would not pay rent “until he dies.” Additionally, Musk’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, referred to San Francisco as a “black hole” and stated that such high rental amounts were not justified.
The eviction of Twitter from its Colorado office is part of the company’s strategy to reduce costs. For example, Elon Musk previously reduced the company’s workforce by approximately 90% to manage the financial crisis.
On the other hand, Twitter’s headquarters in San Francisco has initiated an interesting auction. According to a description on the website of Heritage Global Partners, an auction house, Musk has decided to sell the corporate office furniture in the Twitter office.
