Upgraded Samsung Galaxy S21 FE to be powered by Snapdragon 888
Samsung is working on a new version of the S21 FE that will target the mid-upper segment. The company, which recently kept quiet about reports that it had cancelled the Galaxy S23 FE, has aroused curiosity with the revamped Galaxy S21 FE.
The version launched at the beginning of 2022 used the Exynos 2100 chipset. This new variant, with model number SM-G990B4, will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset. It is reported that the device will be launched with a single option offering 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
Samsung has tried its own Exynos chipset in several devices, the Galaxy S21 FE being one of them. The device debuted with the Snapdragon 888 in the US and the Exynos 2100 in the rest of the world. The new version brings the Snapdragon 888 version to India.
Although the company has officially confirmed the new model, it has not yet announced the launch date or pricing details. The latest rumours suggest that the phone will be available in the next few weeks and could be priced at $600.
