Google made a name for itself in the software world once again by introducing the first version of the Android operating system in 2008. Since then, Android has continued its development by offering users numerous versions equipped with new features, reaching Android 14 this year.
StatCounter, a company that collects technology-related data and publishes statistics, recently shared the most used Android versions in Turkey and worldwide. According to the data, the currently most popular Android version globally is Android 13, which was released in August 2022. It is closely followed by Android 10. Here is the ranking:

When we look at the data published by StatCounter as of July 2023 for smartphones using the Android operating system, we see that Android 13 has a usage rate of 23.9%. Android 10 follows closely with a usage rate of 20.19%.
Furthermore, the third and fourth positions on the list are occupied by Android 12 and Android 11, which are currently used on millions of phones. The usage rates of both operating systems are 18.58% and 18.38% respectively. When we examine Android 8 Oreo and 8.1 Oreo, we see that they have the same usage rate.
