In the beginning of this year, OnePlus made its debut in the tablet market with the introduction of the Pad model. Now, the countdown has begun for the Pad Go model. The Pad Go is expected to be more budget-friendly compared to its predecessor and is anticipated to cater to the mid-range segment based on its features. A recent report has unveiled the release date and processor details of the upcoming tablet.
OnePlus Pad Go’s processor and release date
According to a well-known leaker with the Twitter handle OneNormalUsername, the upcoming OnePlus Pad Go model will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor. The chipset, manufactured with a 6nm architecture, hosts 2x 2.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A76 cores and 6x 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A55 cores, along with the Mali-G57 MC2 graphics unit.
Several reports and speculations about the release date of the tablet have surfaced, but none have specifically pinpointed a launch date. However, the situation seems to have changed now, as the leak suggests that the device will be unveiled on October 6.
The upcoming OnePlus Pad Go model is expected to feature an 11.35-inch LCD panel with a 2.4K resolution and a 7:5 aspect ratio. The tablet is also anticipated to weigh 523 grams.
The model will come with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, along with microSD card support for expandable storage. It will run on the Android 13-based ColorOS 13.2 interface right out of the box. Additionally, it will be powered by an 8,000 mAh battery. As for the cameras, the device doesn’t seem to focus heavily on this aspect, offering an 8-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera.
