The countdown has begun for the iQOO 12 series, which has been making headlines with rumors for a while now. While numerous reports have emerged regarding these smartphones, a recent report sheds light on some of the rumors that have been circulating.
iQOO 12 series will not support 200W fast charging
The iQOO 12 series recently appeared in the 3C database with model numbers V2307A and V2239A. According to this information, the phones will support 120W fast charging. Reports suggest that the iQOO 12 Pro will also support 50W wireless charging, while the standard iQOO 12 will not have this feature. Additionally, the standard model is expected to have a 5,000 mAh battery, while the Pro model will feature a 5,100 mAh battery.
One important detail to note is that despite previous Pro models featuring 200W fast charging, the iQOO 12 Pro will come with 120W charging. There has been no official statement from the Chinese manufacturer regarding this, so we may learn more about this detail during the official launch event.
The technical specifications of the iQOO 12 series have been shared on Weibo. The standard model is expected to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1.5K, a 144Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 3000 nits, and 2160Hz PWM dimming. It will also host an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, coupled with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
In terms of the camera setup, the smartphone will feature a triple-camera system consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.
The iQOO 12 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch 2K Samsung E7 AMOLED display with curved edges. The panel will offer a 144Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 2700 nits, 1440Hz PWM dimming, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will also be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, LPDDR5x RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage.
The camera setup on the iQOO 12 Pro model will include a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. Both models will offer up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.
According to sources close to the company, the iQOO 12 series will be launched on November 7th. However, the global release dates for these devices are not yet known.
