According to information from police sources, it was stated that the robotic arm that killed the unfortunate man, whose name was not disclosed, was actually going to be tested on November 6, but the test was postponed due to the robot being faulty. The incident occurred while the person in question was trying to repair the sensors in the middle of the night. A separate investigation was also opened against the company that produces the robot arm.

Officials from Donggoseong Agricultural Export Complex, which owns the production facility in question, called for the establishment of sensitive and safe systems. In an incident that occurred just before this incident, which also took place in South Korea, a man in his 50s was trapped by a robot used there while working in a factory producing auto parts. Fortunately, the man did not die and survived the incident with minor injuries.
