Polestar, the electric car venture of Volvo and Geely, is preparing to launch its first smartphone. A new promotional video leaked online reveals what the Polestar Phone will look like. The smartphone will be manufactured by Geely-owned Meizu.

Meizu-based Polestar Phone comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

According to the advertising video, the Polestar Phone is inspired by Meizu’s design language. It will feature a flat metal frame and a triple rear camera setup placed in separate rings. The rear cameras include a 23mm main camera with f/1.9 aperture, a 70mm telephoto and a 15mm ultra-wide sensor.

On the front of the Polestar Phone, we see a selfie camera embedded in the screen. The car company, which prefers a flat screen, includes the Polestar brand on the sides. There is also the company logo on the back of the device.

The advertising video did not reveal details about the specifications. However, it is expected to be in the flagship category and powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Earlier leaks revealed that it will offer 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage.

Developed by Meizu, the phone is likely to offer seamless integration with Polestar’s tools. It is also possible that we will see a custom Polestar OS interface based on Android.

It is not yet clear how the Polestar Phone will interact with cars, but it could be based on Meizu’s Flyme Auto infotainment software. For now, the phone is expected to be available in the Chinese market.
