The highly anticipated iOS 17.2 version for iPhone phones has finally been released. The 1.3 GB update offers many innovations to iPhones that support it. In addition to the diary application, iPhones are also introduced to new features. Here are the benefits of iOS 17.2.
What does iOS 17.2 offer to users?
As of today, the full version of iOS 17.2, whose RC version was released recently, has been released for all users. After entering the Settings app on your phone, you can install the update by entering the Software Update tab after the General option. So what will you encounter after installing it? What does the iOS 17.2 update offer?
One of the most important innovations coming with iOS 17.2 is undoubtedly the Diary app. Apple’s remarkable new application allows you to keep a diary by adding text, images, video and audio. Those who wanted to keep a diary with their iPhone had to download and use an application from the App Store. From now on, the built-in Diary can be used.
Apple has added a customizable Action Button to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, replacing the mute switch with a user-preferred function. This includes functions for turning on the flashlight, creating voice memos and taking photos. The new iOS 17.2 update also adds Translate.
iOS 17.2 allows you to create shared playlists with other Apple Music users. Users who have access to the playlist in question can add and remove songs. It should be noted that this feature is already available on Spotify.
Siri
iOS 17.2, Apple Watch Series 9, and Apple Watch Ultra 2 allow iPhone and iPad users to easily access and log Health app datausing Siri. On-device processing, also available on iPhone and iPad, means users’ Health app data never leaves their device to complete a Siri request, which helps protect user privacy.
Siri can now answer requests related to more than 20 types of Health app data stored on Apple Watch, iPhone, and iPad. For example, users can now ask: How far did I walk today? Or user: “My period has started. Save this in my diary.”, the day of their period will be saved in the diary app.
Spatial video capture for iPhone 15 Pro
The update means that with iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, users can now record spatial videos – a new feature that helps them capture life’s precious moments – and relive them in Apple Vision Pro starting early next year.
With spatial video capture enabled in Settings, users can take advantage of the advanced camera systems in iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max to capture their favorite moments in three dimensions. Spatial videos are captured in 1080p at 30 frames per second with standard dynamic range.
