Apple, last year, launched the iPhone 15 series and received mixed reviews from users, especially for durability and heating issues in the Pro models. While the American manufacturer wasted no time in starting work on the iPhone 16 series, reports providing critical insights into performance and design have started to surface. The latest information reveals the RAM capacity for the iPhone 16 series.
iPhone 16’s RAM capacity
Jeff Pu, known for leaking industry information, shared new technical details about the upcoming iPhone 16 series. According to him, all models in the series will feature 8 GB of RAM. This appears to be a positive development, considering recent criticism of Apple for increasing technical specification differences between standard and Pro models.
RAM capacity for the iPhone 15 series:
- iPhone 15: 6GB
- iPhone 15 Plus: 6GB
- iPhone 15 Pro: 8GB
- iPhone 15 Pro Max: 8GB
Rumored RAM capacity for the iPhone 16 series:
- iPhone 16: 8GB
- iPhone 16 Plus: 8GB
- iPhone 16 Pro: 8GB
- iPhone 16 Pro Max: 8GB
Until recently, the common theme in leaks suggested that Apple wouldn’t make significant changes to the upcoming iPhone 16 series. However, this situation seems to be changing lately. AppleTrack, known for sharing critical information about iPhones, revealed last week that there would be a significant design change in the iPhone 16 Pro.
It seems that the dimensions of the Dynamic Island will decrease in the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models. Moreover, these models are expected to adopt a perforated screen design frequently seen in Android devices, deviating from the pill-shaped design used in iPhone 14 and 15.
While the iPhone 16 Pro’s screen is expected to increase from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, the Pro Max panel will measure 6.9 inches. Additionally, the 5x periscope zoom camera exclusive to the 15 Pro Max will also be used in the upcoming standard Pro model. Furthermore, it is suggested that the Pro models will upgrade the 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera to 48 megapixels with a 1/2.55-inch sensor. Finally, the series is expected to be unveiled in September.
