With the rapid development of the smartphone world, the processor side also keeps pace with this progress. Qualcomm, which produces the most powerful processors on the Android side, is counting down for its new flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. New details about the processor have come to light.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 performance rating is 46 percent higher than Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 showed up in the performance arena Geekbench 6. According to the performance results, the performance gap between Android and iOS is closing. The processor scored 2,845 in single-core and 10,628 in multi-core. This means that it performs about 46 percent better than its predecessor Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
According to earlier reports, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will be based on TSMC’s N3E production process using 3nm technology. It is estimated that the new processor will be the first processor to be released with NUVIA cores. Qualcomm will include 2 NUVIA Phoenix I and 6 NUVIA Phoenix M cores in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 also draws attention with its performance rating on the gaming side. Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, tested in the Genshin Impact game, emerged with an impressive detail. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 engineering sample was tested in the Genshin Impact game with results shared by a user on “X”.
According to the post, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 engineering sample was reportedly able to run the Genshin Impact game at 1080p resolution for 45 minutes with a stable performance at 60 fps, where the game is capped. Since the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 used in the device running the game is an engineering sample, it is possible that the final version can run the game at 60 fps with further work on the processor.
