Hello Games has released an important update for the exploration-focused space adventure No Man’s Sky. This package, called Omega, brings new gameplay systems and content to the long-running game. In addition to this bundle, No Man’s Sky will be free throughout the weekend.
Omega update released for No Man’s Sky
The space adventure game, which was first released in 2016, has managed to create a special audience by receiving updates for years. The Omega package will be offered as a major update to the game. The developer who wanted to draw attention to the package; Xbox will offer No Man’s Sky for free between February 15-19 for PlayStation, Switch and PC.
One of the biggest innovations coming with Omega will be providing mission support on planets. Players will now be able to take side quests by talking to aliens wandering around the planets. Missions will vary depending on the planet and the personality of the alien.
Omega will also allow players to take control of capital ships for the first time. Players will be able to board and take command of enemy ships (Dreadnoughts) by defeating the pirate fleets surrounding them.
The Atlas Path quest sequence of the game has also been renewed. Completing these missions will now reward players with a new Atlas Staff weapon, jetpack, and helmet. On the other hand, it will now be possible to launch the game directly on space stations.
As part of the update, Hello Games introduced Omega Expedition. Developed for new players, this support will guide you through the core systems of No Man’s Sky through a series of missions. Once completed it will unlock some rewards.
To celebrate the release of Omega, No Man’s Sky is available for free on all platforms until February 19. Additionally, as part of the discount, the price of the game has dropped to $30.
