The highly anticipated trailer for Lionsgate’s Borderlands movie adaptation directed by Eli Roth has finally arrived. With its striking visuals and humor, the trailer is very reminiscent of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy series.

Based on the popular game series of the same name, Borderlands follows the adventures of Lilith, an alien outlaw played by Cate Blanchett. Returning to her home planet of Pandora, Lilith embarks on a quest to uncover a legendary vault rumored to hold undiscovered riches. To aid her in her quest, she assembles a team of Vault Hunters, each with their own unique skills and personalities.
Joining Lilith on her mission are mercenary Roland (Kevin Hart), mad scientist Dr. Tannis (Jamie Lee Curtis), smash-and-grab Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), Tiny Tina’s enforcer Krieg (Florian Munteanu) and eccentric robot Claptrap (Jack Black). Despite their differences, this motley crew is determined to seek fortune and glory amidst the chaos of Pandora.
The trailer shows director Eli Roth’s talent for translating the distinctive contoured graphics of the Borderlands games to film, introducing audiences to a vibrant and chaotic world full of humor and danger. From witty one-liners to explosive action sequences, the trailer seems to stay true to the spirit of the beloved game series.
