Türk Telekom announced that it would collaborate with ZTE and Netaş to implement next-generation green network technologies and applications that contribute to environmental sustainability. At the GSMA Mobile World Congress, top managements of Türk Telekom, ZTE, and Netaş came together and signed a memorandum of understanding.
Memorandum of Understanding between Türk Telekom, ZTE, and Netaş!
Taking significant steps with investments in Solar Energy Systems (SES) and electric charging stations to contribute to environmental sustainability, Türk Telekom announced that it would collaborate with ZTE and Netaş to implement next-generation green network and applications for sustainable technologies. Türk Telekom, Netaş, the main shareholder of Netaş, and ZTE signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Türk Telekom CEO Ümit Önal said the following about the matter:
“As we lead Turkey’s digital transformation, creating sustainable values, especially in technology, is one of our top priorities. We continue to develop projects that will transform our technologies’ power sources into sustainable energy sources and provide resource optimization and energy savings with artificial intelligence solutions.”
Innovative applications in telecommunications infrastructure
As part of the collaboration; the use of solar energy systems in the infrastructure of mobile base stations, implementation of AI-based smart software solutions for dynamic load forecasting and resource optimization based on traffic rates on base stations, using next-generation liquid cooling technology (LIC- Liquid Immersion Cooling) in data center servers, and controlling and shutting down unused PON ports in next-generation fiber network solutions using smart algorithms for energy savings will be carried out.

Netaş Chairman of the Board and ZTE Corporation Europe and America Region President Peng Aiguang said:
“I am very pleased to sign the Memorandum of Understanding for projects that will include next-generation technologies and domestic products in the future, both globally and in Turkey, with Türk Telekom, utilizing our knowledge and experience. “
