Logitech MX Brio Webcam: A Leap into the Era of 4K
Logitech steps into the limelight with the MX Brio, a new 4K webcam priced at $199.99, appealing to both remote workers and broadcasters. Key features of the MX Brio include the ability to stream at 30fps in 4K or 60fps in 1080p, an f/2.0 aperture, and an aluminum unibody design.
AI technology is one of the cornerstones of the MX Brio. Logitech incorporates a ‘face-based image enhancement’ feature in this webcam. It automatically detects the user’s face within the webcam frame and adjusts white balance, exposure, and focus accordingly.
Moreover, the pixels on the 8.5-megapixel sensor are reportedly 70% larger than those on Logitech’s previous Brio 4K webcam, suggesting improved image quality. The Logitech MX Brio combines a range of features tailored to users’ needs.
Logitech Set to Shape the Webcam Market
Firstly, there’s a physical privacy shutter. ‘Show Mode’ reorients the webcam to display your desktop. Dual beamforming microphones focus on the user’s voice, ensuring clear communication. It also utilizes a detachable USB-C cable for connecting to a computer.
However, this model lacks Windows Hello face recognition support and 4K/60fps recording like Elgato’s Facecam Pro.Users can manually control various features of the webcam via Logitech’s Options Plus or G Hub software, including field of view, exposure, shutter speed, ISO, color temperature, contrast, saturation, and sharpness settings.
Access to automatic framing is also available with Logi Tune software. The Logitech MX Brio has been launched alongside Logitech’s MX series mice and keyboards. It’s particularly designed for broadcasters and remote-working professionals, and how it will define its place in the webcam market is of interest.
Logitech’s MX Brio presents itself as a webcam equipped with modern technology. It stands out with its high-resolution image quality, AI-supported features, and user-friendly design. What do you think of this webcam? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.”
