LittleBigPlanet 3 servers are shut down indefinitely
Sony and Media Molecule announced that they have closed the servers of LittleBigPlanet 3, which was first released in 2014. The game’s servers were taken offline due to technical problems in January this year. Although Sony says this is temporary, the servers haven’t been up for months.
Following a new statement from the two companies, it was stated that the servers will now be offline indefinitely. This closure means that users’ accounts are also inactivated. In other words, it will no longer be possible to access costumes and objects in the game.
LittleBigPlanet 3 actually does not appeal to a large audience today. However, the Creativity Mode in the game allowed players to design their own levels and items. This promised Roblox-like gameplay in LittleBigPlanet 3.
Offline features such as story mode are still accessible. However, the maps prepared with the Creativity Mode seem to have been canceled with the servers being shut down.
The game, which first came to PS3 in 2007, managed to attract great attention all over the world. The PlayStation-exclusive series featured the character named SackBoy running around and completing various tasks by defeating the characters he encountered.
