Soon, Galaxy devices will receive the One UI 6.1 update!
After the release of a new Android version every year, Samsung also brings updates to its devices. Last year, the company released the One UI 5.1 update to some flagship devices before the S23 series, and this year, it announced the One UI 6.1 update alongside the Galaxy S24 series. One UI 6.1 will be rolled out to these devices in May
Although updates on the Samsung side progress slower compared to Google, the company manages to keep users satisfied by keeping certain devices up-to-date every month. Particularly after releasing the One UI 6.1 update to the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung is now beginning to roll out the update to previous versions such as the Galaxy S23 series, Z Flip5, Z Fold5, and Tab S9.
Here are the Galaxy devices that will receive One UI 6.1 update soon:
- Galaxy S22
- Galaxy S22+
- Galaxy S22 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 4
- Galaxy Z Flip 4
- Galaxy Tab S8+
- Galaxy Tab S8+
- Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra
Although there hasn’t been an official list or announcement yet, Samsung has stated that it may start rolling out the update in the first weeks of May. Additionally, a brokerage firm in Canada has indicated May 3 as the update date for the Galaxy S22 series, Z Fold4, and Z Flip4 models.

Of course, when Samsung releases the update for these Galaxy phones and tablets, it will send a notification. If you want to check whether the update has arrived on your device, you can go to the Settings app on your phone or tablet, click on the Software Update button, and check from there under the Download and Install section.
