A date has been given for the BYD Shark pickup, which will be a fierce rival to Tesla Cybertruck. Electric Shark will be on the roads very soon.

Chinese automobile manufacturer BYD has managed to make a name for itself with its electric cars all over the world. The company, where we often see affordable electric SUV models on the roads, is now preparing to introduce its new electric pickup, Shark. Shark, which is also a rival of Cybertruck in terms of segment, is actually a vehicle with a familiar appearance like Amarok and Ranger.
BYD, which announced Shark’s global launch date today, will introduce its new pickup truck at the launch on May 14. Shark, which is stated to be larger than Toyota Hilux, will be a medium-large sized off-road vehicle. The pickup, which is already built on BYD’s dual-mode offroad platform, will have 245HP power.
If we start with the exterior design from the back, we are first greeted by a giant BYD logo on the lid of the case. Shark, which has a large stop design connecting the two sides above the trunk lid, has a step structure on the rear bumper, as in every pickup. Shark, which clearly shows that it is a large vehicle with its wide hood design and angular lines, actually has a very similar design to Amarok.
BYD Shark, which also carries the daytime running lights that extend all the way to the front, on the grille, reflects its style with its two-tone alloy wheels. The vehicle, which is quite high from the ground, carries holders on the inside to facilitate getting on and off. Completing the technological appearance with its wide center console and giant screen, the pickup continues the angular lines it carries on the outside in the interior trims.
