Microsoft is trying to upgrade devices with older operating systems to Windows 11. In this context, support for older versions of Windows 10 is ending. In its latest reminder, the company said that Windows 10 21H2 will be shelved.
Windows 10 21H2 support ends on June 11
Microsoft has announced that version 21H2 will no longer be supported after June 11. After that date, systems running 21H2 will no longer receive updates. Security updates provided by Microsoft will stop protecting against system vulnerabilities.
Windows 10 21H2 is currently favored by many businesses and individual users. However, it will reach the end of its official lifespan with the last update in a month. This means that systems will not receive security and bug fixes.
Microsoft stated that systems will be automatically updated in this context. Devices using 21H2 will be upgraded to Windows 10 22H2 version after June. It should be noted that the 22H2 version will continue to be supported with monthly updates.
Let us remind you that support for 21H2 Enterprise, Education and IoT Enterprise versions will end. It should be noted that 21H2 has also reached the end of its life after three years of active support. Enterprise devices will receive an additional 12 months of support from Microsoft.
On the other hand, Microsoft started testing the display of ads in the Start menu with the new update it recently released for Windows 11. This change, which was noticed by beta users, attracted a lot of attention.
