Google discussed a number of new AI features at its I/O 2024 developer conference. It introduced the features that its digital assistant Gemini will offer on Android devices. Android phones will become much more private and secure. Here are all the innovations.
What are the new AI features for Android?
One of the main announcements at I/O 2024 was the expansion of Circle to Search, first introduced in the Galaxy S24 series. Users can now circle objects in a photo and ask Google Assistant about them.
This feature can also be used for homework. Google said that formulas, diagrams and graphs in the photo can be understood and will help in complex tasks.

On the other hand, some innovations were also presented for Gemini Nano, the mobile-specific version of Gemini. Artificial intelligence will be able to understand not only text but also visual, auditory and speech-based inputs. In this way, it will be able to provide more consistent responses even without an internet connection.
Gemini Nano will power TalkBack, Google’s screen reader for visually impaired users. TalkBack responses running on the device will be faster to identify the environment. Gemini will also detect scam calls in real time and alert users.
Google says hundreds of millions of Android devices will get the new features over the next few months. Although it is not known which brands will receive this update, it is possible to say that Android 14 will be a priority.
