USOM urged Samsung to review the update documents released by Samsung and make the relevant updates immediately. The vulnerabilities could allow attackers to gain control over systems and steal data.
It was stated that more than 10 vulnerabilities were fixed with the security package. Due to some of the vulnerabilities identified, there is a risk of memory corruption, unauthorized access and code execution attacks on Exynos.
Samsung has highlighted critical security vulnerabilities such as memory corruption, bypassing authentication mechanisms and not checking rollback protection.
Samsung also shared technical details and risk levels for a total of 24 vulnerabilities fixed in the June update. Accordingly, several vulnerabilities are marked as high risk. This means that Galaxy owners, especially those with Exynos chipsets, should download the update as soon as possible.
