Ubisoft has officially confirmed that romantic relationship options will be making a return in their eagerly awaited new game, Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This feature, present in the previous two titles of the series before Assassin’s Creed Mirage—Valhalla and Odyssey—will be reintroduced in Shadows.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Will Offer Romantic Options for Both Characters
In an interview, the game’s lead narrative designer, Brooke Davies, revealed that romantic relationships will be handled in a very different way. The game will feature two playable characters, Naoe and Yasuke, allowing relationships to develop uniquely according to each character’s storyline.
Davies mentioned that what makes Shadows unique is the advanced relationships players will experience, providing an opportunity to truly connect and get to know the characters. However, the game will not focus solely on romantic relationships. Davies emphasized that the game should not be viewed as a dating simulator but will include serious and long-term relationships.
In addition to the relationship features, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will introduce several new elements. It will include a stealth mechanic that allows players to progress without necessarily killing anyone. The open-world design will feature changing seasons that will affect combat and navigation mechanics.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is set to be released on November 15 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Amazon Luna, and PC. What do you think about the new information regarding the game? Don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments and on our social media accounts.
