Huawei Nova Flip to Be Unveiled on August 6
Huawei has released a video showing the design of its first Nova-branded foldable phone, the Nova Flip, which is set to be unveiled in China on August 6. The promotional video, showcasing the green model, reveals that the device features an inward-folding screen with a punch-hole design.
The right edge of the device houses the volume buttons and a power button integrated with a fingerprint sensor. The top edge has a microphone, while the bottom edge includes a SIM tray, a microphone, a USB-C port, and a speaker grille. The back panel features a vertical dual-camera unit and a square-shaped secondary display within a rectangular module.
While the technical specifications of the Nova Flip have not been disclosed, it is expected to feature mid-range or upper-mid-range specs, as the Nova sub-brand targets the younger generation. This move marks Huawei’s second foray into the foldable phone market following the previously released Pocket series.
All information from Huawei suggests that the company is poised to introduce the Nova 13 series in China in August. This series is expected to include the Nova 13, Nova 13 Pro, and Nova 13 Ultra models. However, the company has not yet officially confirmed the launch of these devices.
