It’s been two months since the initial announcement of iOS 18, and on August 6, Apple released the third public beta version. With many features included, the iOS 18 beta is now available for iOS developers and beta testers. One of the standout features in this beta version is the ability to record video and listen to music simultaneously. Here’s how you can use the video and music feature in iOS 18 Beta…
With iOS 18 Beta, You Can Now Record Video and Listen to Music at the Same Time
The full version of iOS 18 is expected to be announced right after the iPhone 16 series is unveiled in September. One of the important features being tested by the tech giant in the beta version is the long-awaited ability to listen to music while recording video, and have that music included in the video.
How to Play Music While Recording Video on iPhone
If you want to play music in the background while recording a video, follow these steps:
- Go to the Settings app.
- Find the Camera settings.
- Tap on the Record Audio feature.
- Enable the Allow Audio Playback toggle.
Once the feature is activated, you can play music from Spotify, Apple Music, or other apps, and then start recording a video through the Camera app. Although the recorded sound quality may not be perfect in the beta version, it could improve in the final release. However, note that this feature is currently only available in the Camera app and cannot be used with screen recordings.
