Apple and Nvidia ready for OpenAI investment
The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg report that Apple is in talks to invest in OpenAI. The tech giant, which recently announced plans to integrate ChatGPT into iOS and macOS, is also working with OpenAI for Apple Intelligence.
Bloomberg also reported that Nvidia is also considering participating in the investment round. Thanks to the investment round led by Thrive Capital, OpenAI’s value could exceed $100 billion.
Samsung is looking for an agreement with Nokia, which investing in this field for some time, to increase its power in mobile networks.
Apple and Nvidia’s willingness to invest in OpenAI is not surprising given the developments in the industry. Apple will integrate ChatGPT with Siri later this year. It was also planned a while ago that Apple executive Phil Schiller would join the OpenAI board of directors.
Nvidia is an important supplier of OpenAI with the chips it uses to support artificial intelligence services. Microsoft is also allegedly in talks to participate in the investment round.
