A new one has been added to the affordable electric cars produced by SAIC-GM-Wuling. This fully electric compact crossover called the Wuling Bingo SUV attracts great attention with its price of just $10,750.
Wuling Bingo SUV features
The Bingo SUV builds on the success of the previously launched Bingo and Bingo Plus hatchback models. Using the Tianyu M modular electric platform, the vehicle has a stylish design with oval headlights and rounded lines.
Ideal for urban use with a length of just over 4 metres, the Bingo SUV offers a spacious interior with over 880 mm of rear legroom. The vehicle is powered by a single electric motor producing 75 kW (100 hp) and 180 Nm of torque. Accordingly, it completes the 0-50 km/h acceleration in 3.7 seconds.
There are three different battery options available: 31.9 kWh, 37.9 kWh and 50.6 kWh. These batteries provide a range of 330 km, 401 km and 510 km respectively. It was stated that the largest battery can be charged to 50 percent in just 30 minutes with DC fast charging.
Pricing starts at $10,750 for the 330 km range model, while the 401 km range version goes up to $13,600.
Although it does not have some features such as a front trunk and driver assistance system, it is possible to say that the Bingo SUV will appeal to those looking for an affordable electric vehicle. Of course, it should also be noted that it will be exclusive to the Chinese market at the first stage.
