Ubisoft’s long-awaited game Assassin’s Creed Shadows is once again on the agenda with news that will upset fans. Ubisoft, which was expected to participate in Tokyo Game Show 2024, one of the biggest gaming events of 2024, canceled its participation in the event and the planned press releases about Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Ubisoft has pulled out of the Tokyo Game Show: Assassin’s Creed Shadows previews canceled
The company announced its withdrawal from the Tokyo Game Show in a statement on its X (Twitter) account. Unfortunately, no reason was given. Ubisoft Japan expressed its regrets to fans on social media and stated that its ongoing raffle campaigns will continue regardless of the event.
Following the announcement, Insider Gaming reports that Ubisoft’s planned Assassin’s Creed Shadows press previews have also been canceled. In fact, these previews were expected to take place next week, after which the press embargo would be lifted.
But despite all these cancellations, Ubisoft’s release date for Assassin’s Creed Shadows is still November 12, 2024. So, the game has not been delayed. Nevertheless, rumors continue to circulate that there are some problems with the overall development process of the game. In particular, Ubisoft’s recent financial troubles, stock declines, and investor pressure are cited as the reasons behind these cancelations.
So, will these cancelations affect the game’s release? Although we don’t have any definite information for now, Ubisoft is expected to make an official statement. Despite all these developments, Assassin’s Creed fans continue to look forward to the game’s release in November as planned.
