Horizon Zero Dawn, which was released in 2017 for Playstation 4 and 2020 for Microsoft Windows, is preparing to meet its fans very soon with its remastered version. The game will be available for both PC and PS5 users.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is with us on 31 October!
According to the statement from the Sony front, the game, which will be fully compatible with PS5 Pro, will be able to take advantage of more powerful hardware after the console is released on 7 November. Guerilla Games’ art and animation director Jan-Bart van Beek stated that the remastered version of the game comes with more than 10 hours of re-recorded audio, improved character models, animations, lighting and textures.
Dutch game developer Nixxes undertook the remaster work and the game’s sound design has also been improved. In particular, Atmos rendering will provide players with a more immersive and deeper sound experience.
The Frozen Wilds expansion pack is also included in the remastered version of the game, adding new maps, machines and abilities. PC gamers will also benefit from performance-enhancing technologies such as NVIDIA’s DLSS 3 and ultra-wide resolution support.
The accessibility features of the original game are retained in the remastered version. Haptic feedback and reconfigurable control schemes improve the user experience. In addition, a new on-demand accessibility feature has been introduced, allowing players to recognise interactive elements with sound and haptic notifications.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will be available for $50. However, users who own the original game or the Complete Edition will be able to upgrade for $10 on both PC and PS5. In addition, players who added Horizon Zero Dawn to their library among the games Sony offered for free during the pandemic will also be able to benefit from this discount.
