Bethesda has confirmed that it will continue to introduce new features to the multiplayer experience of Fallout 76, driven by the recent surge in popularity from the Fallout series that premiered on Amazon Prime Video.
According to Bethesda, a new update will soon allow players to have pets in their bases in Fallout 76. This update will add cats and dogs to the game. Here are the details…
Fallout 76 Will Receive an Update Allowing Players to Tame Cats and Dogs
Jon Rush, the game’s creative director, announced that players will be able to interact with pets within the game. Rush stated, “I am excited to announce that pets will finally be coming to Fallout 76 later this year. These new furry friends will live at your camp and can interact in several different ways!”
In addition to pets, Rush also highlighted the importance of Japanese players to Bethesda, leveraging their presence at Tokyo Game Show 2024: “We want to make a big shoutout to our player base here. The Japanese Fallout 76 community is one of our most talented and dedicated communities. It has become a lot of fun to watch and play together, from playtime to leveling up to base building.”
While the presence of pets in Fallout 76 is exciting, it seems that filling your base with dogs or cats may not be possible. Reports suggest that players will only be allowed to tame one animal at a time.
According to Rush, more information about the presence of pets in Fallout 76 will be released in the coming months, so further details about which animals can be added to your base are expected.
