Caviar, which produces luxury versions of many brands, especially Apple, is redesigning Huawei Mate XT Ultimate with 24 carat gold. The designer company covered the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate, which Huawei introduced last week with Apple’s iPhone 16 series, with 24 carat gold. The company has re-released the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate, which is currently only available for sale in China, in two separate designs with 24 carat gold and crocodile leather.
Huawei Mate XT Ultimate coated with 24 carat gold: 14.500 USD
Caviar, known for its exclusive phone accessories, smartwatch accessories and designer phones, has re-engineered the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate in 24-carat gold plated and black crocodile leather finish. The company, previously known for its gold PlayStation and gold phones, promotes itself as an international brand of exclusive luxury class devices. Gold-plated devices are coming to the market in iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max devices introduced on the same day as Huawei Mate XT Ultimate.
Caviar explains that the designs on the gold-plated Huawei Mate XT Ultimate have the texture of imperial swords crafted in Longquan, where China’s multi-layered sword forging art originated. In the gold model, the back of the device appears to be completely covered with 24 carat gold, except for the camera protrusion. The black dragon model emerges from the Xuanlong dragon in Chinese mythology. The company puts black crocodile skin on the back of the phone that resembles the scales of the Xuanlong dragon. It adds gold plating around the camera protrusion and on the edges of the phone.
Caviar says that the number 88 is considered an auspicious number in Chinese culture and therefore only 88 units of both models will be produced. The 256 GB model of the black dragon Huawei Mate XT Ultimate goes on sale at $ 12,770, the 512 GB model at $ 13,200, and the 1 TB model at $ 13,630. 24 carat gold-plated Gold dragon, 256 GB model is sold at $ 14,500, 512 GB model is sold at $ 14,930, 1 TB model is sold at $ 15,360. Huawei Mate XT Ultimate is expected to go on sale for the whole world in the first quarter of 2025.
