Apple is preparing to come up with an innovation that will save users the trouble of service. In the iPhone 17 series, which will be released next year, it was announced that a new battery adhesive will be used in all models. Thanks to the new battery adhesive, batteries can be removed from the device much more easily.

Now, only a low voltage of 9V is required to separate the battery from the motherboard frame. This will make it much faster and safer to replace the battery without damaging the internal hardware.
The new adhesive technology has a significant advantage, especially for those who want to repair their devices on their own. Repair experts like iFixit have noted that this method, which is also used on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, is a big improvement over the traditional stretch release adhesive.
Apple has been putting a bit more emphasis on “user repairability” lately. Interestingly, though, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models have been deprived of this new adhesive technology and are still made the old way. So the question of why premium models are using an older technology remains unanswered.
With iPhone 17 next year, new battery adhesives are expected to be available on all models. Now users will be able to make repairs more easily without having to go to the service center for simple operations such as battery replacement.
