Destiny, one of the beloved games of the PlayStation world, is finally coming to the mobile world. The new Destiny: Rising game, which will be offered for free, will offer the early stages of the series to mobile players.
Destiny: Rising introduced
Bungie and NetEase Games have announced the new mobile game Destiny: Rising. The new game will take players to an alternative timeline in the Destiny universe and will deal with the aftermath of the collapse of humanity known as the Dark Age.
Destiny: Rising was built by NetEase on Bungie’s Destiny series. The free game, which can be accessed on smartphones and tablets, will feature predefined characters. Beloved characters such as Ikora Rey will be playable alongside new heroes with different abilities and backstories.
The mobile game takes place in the early days of Destiny, long before the Last City or Guardians. Players will seek out those who are said to shape the future of humanity after the fall. The series’ beloved maps will be playable to fight enemies such as the Hive, Fallen, and Vex.
NetEase, which said it is working with Bungie to develop new stories in the Destiny universe, said that they have designed many stories where players can explore and help define this period of history. The game will allow for both first- and third-person cameras with touch and controller support.
Destiny: Rising will also feature six-player co-op raids and various competitive and co-op multiplayer modes. Only a portion of the main story will be accessible in the upcoming alpha test, but there will be at least one map for all game types. It should be noted that alpha tests will begin on November 1.
