vivo X200 to come with Snapdragon 8 Elite
vivo has announced that it will soon launch a smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Although the specific model has not been officially named, reliable sources believe it to be the X200 Ultra. Notably, the X100 Ultra, which was introduced in May, featured the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, lending credibility to these rumors.
Snapdragon 8 Elite was unveiled yesterday evening, capturing attention with its powerful features. The processor offers up to a 40% increase in performance and 40% energy efficiency compared to its predecessor. Additionally, the chipset boasts a 27% reduction in power consumption, a noteworthy detail.
Although there aren’t many reports about the technical specifications of the vivo X200 Ultra, according to past reports from the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, the device will feature a quad-camera setup consisting of a 50 MP main sensor, 50 MP ultra-wide, 50 MP telephoto, and a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens. It is also highly likely that the device will support satellite communication.
The vivo X200 Ultra is expected to compete with strong models in the market, such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, Oppo Find X8 Ultra, and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Additionally, its price is speculated to be around 5,500 Yuan (~$770).
