The countdown has begun for the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series, set to debut in 2025. Numerous reports about the smartphones have surfaced, leaving little room for doubt about what to expect. The latest developments reveal that the series’ Plus and Ultra models have appeared in performance tests.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus and S25 Ultra Spotted on Geekbench
The Galaxy S25 Plus and S25 Ultra, bearing the model numbers SM-S936N and SM-S938N, respectively, have undergone Geekbench tests. The Plus model scored 2,358 in single-core and 8,211 in multi-core performance, while the Ultra model impressed with 3,079 and 10,030 points, respectively.
Although the global variant of the Galaxy S25 Plus previously entered performance tests powered by the Exynos 2500 processor, reliable sources suggest that the final version for consumers will feature Qualcomm’s flagship chipset.
Things take a significant turn with the Ultra. A closer look at the Geekbench database indicates that the device will feature the ‘Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy’, an optimized version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Samsung’s flagship models.
This development suggests that Samsung hasn’t abandoned its in-house chips entirely. Contrary to earlier reports, it’s now highly likely that the series will feature both Exynos 2500 and Snapdragon 8 Elite processors. However, Qualcomm’s chips seem to dominate the lineup.
